For the past 10 years we have commemorated Workers' Memorial Day, a day on which we "Remember The Dead And Fight For The Living."
The mauve ribbon worn with respect today,
Remembers those in the workplace of yesterday.
Who lost their lives by accident or disease
By corners cut and thoughtless deeds.
For those we acknowledge in our prayers
Hoping for good change to make others aware.
Let's think of others, work as a team
Put care in the project or in the scheme.
Safety Regulations avoided as the good practice tool
Causes disease, injury and fatal-it-y
Manage the problem with regulated mission.
Don't let it be you who ignores the omission,
Relatives,Friends and humanity's loss is one killed at work and never forgot
We say to those who deny our claims,
In honour for those killed or maimed,
"All should right the wrong for others;
Look upon every worker, as a sister, a brother.
Doesn't matter colour, creed or faith
Help, make conditions at the Workplace Safe!"
